IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: SUNDAY’S BOUT VS. BRAWL SAINTS
Due to unforeseen circumstances we no longer have a venue in which to publicly host our rematch vs. London Rollergirls’ Brawl Saints this coming Sunday. As such we will be refunding all Sunday-only game tickets as well as £7 of each combo ticket purchased. Please be patient while our tech team work on making this happen.
The Tiger Bay vs. Brawl Saints game will still go ahead but we are unable to find a replacement venue big enough to accommodate spectators and so, with regret, will need to play this game in a closed door capacity. This is necessary due to health and safety, which has to take priority.
This is absolutely not what we want to do and we have been searching relentlessly for a new venue since finding out ours was unavailable two days ago, but we have been unable to find an alternative solution. We also explored hosting the game on Saturday or postponing until the new year but, understandably, Brawl Saints have already arranged transport and logistics to be in Cardiff as required on Sunday so we have decided to proceed with a closed door game. The scores will be released and we will endeavour to bring you updates throughout.
We are extremely sorry about this but unfortunately it’s beyond our control. Nobody is more sad than us that we can’t go ahead with this rematch as planned – we were really looking forward to playing Brawl Saints again in front of our home crowd – but the health and safety of our skaters and spectators must come first.
In light of this news we are also forced to cancel the open scrimmage we had planned for Sunday morning. These tickets will also be refunded in due course (again, we request patience while we sort out the technical aspects). Apologies to those who had signed up and were looking forward to it.
On a positive note, the Helsinki games will proceed on Saturday as scheduled so you can still see our A and B teams take on Helsinki Roller Derby this weekend. Tickets are still on sale for £8 in advance and will be £10 on the door.
Apologies again for the disappointing news, and thanks in anticipation for your understanding.
