Junior League

Following lots of organisation from Tiger Bay Brawlers reps and teachers and 5×60 coordinators at St Teilos school in Cardiff, the first Tiger Bay Brawlers Junior roller derby session took place on Wednesday 25 January. We have been training every Wednesday since and we are starting to plan our first Junior’s bout for December.

Brawler-skater Edel, a teacher at St Teilos, has been instrumental in liaisons between the league and the school and generating exciting amongst pupils. Sessions are open to all male and female school pupils aged 11-17, and not just to those attending St Teilos. There is a regular group of skaters that attend weekly but we are always keen to get new skaters involved in the team! Roller Derby is a great sport for encouraging fitness, making new friends and building confidence.
