Our 12 week learn to skate course starts with the basics of roller skating, and takes you all the way up to contact drills to get you ready to join Tiger Bay Brawlers. The course costs £60, and kit hire is available for an extra cost, dependent on availability.

Volunteers and Referees
There are roles suitable for everyone in roller derby! If you know that blocking and jamming aren’t for you, consider joining us as an official instead.
TBB welcomes officials of all levels, whether you’re new to the sport and interested to learn more, or you’re a walking, talking (skating) encyclopedia of everything roller derby. You don’t even have to skate if you don’t want to. Non-skating officials (NSOs) are vital to making sure games can happen.
Did you know that each game of roller derby requires up to 7 zebras (skating officials) and up to 12 non-skating officals?
Without officials, roller derby would just be a sweaty mess of hip checking and endless jams!

Guests and Transfers
Tiger Bay loves meeting new people!
If you are in the area and interested in guest skating with TBB we’d love to have you, just email us and let us know when you’ll be around and we will let you know our training times and locations.
If you are interested in transferring to TBB feel free to test the waters with a guest session or two. Once you make the decision to officially transfer you’ll just need to put in a formal request via email to get the ball rolling. If you are coming from another league we will then ask you to arrange for a reference to be sent over and proceed from there!
